Whole group game for the first half of sports

         

Such as:

• Red Light/Green Light
• Red Rover
• Simon Says

Split into smaller, co-oper led groups for second half of sports

Such as:

• Tag variations
• Basketball games
• Hopscotch
• Jump rope

Pirate's Treasure

Equipment: 2-4 colors of bean bags (5-10 of each color), Hoop or drawn ring

•  Bean bags are treasure
• Hoop or Chalk drawn ring are the Treasure chest that hold the treasure for a particular team

Rules:

• Divide group into 2-4 teams
• Each team divided in two: Protectors and Plunderers
• Plunderers try to get the beanbags (treasures) from the other team(s)
• Protectors protect their team's treasure. A protector tags opposing plunderers if they have "plundered" their treasure. 
• If tagged, the plunderer has to drop the treasure and do a fitness activity (run/jump, etc.) before rejoining. While they are doing this, the protector picks up the dropped treasure and returns it to the chest.
• First team with all the treasure wins.

Shadow Tag: To tag a person, you step on their shadow

Reverse Tag: Have multiple taggers and one person evading

Pair Tag: Taggers are a pair running with linked arms

Octopus Tag: 2 lines with a Octopus in the middle. Octopus says "Come _____(jump, twirl, swim, etc.) in my Ocean" and everyone runs from one line to the other. If caught they become seaweed. They stay in one spot but can tag others as they run across.

Body Part Tag: Freeze the body part tagged (i.e. arm, leg, etc.) and cannot use that part until another player "heals" it. (i.e. if your leg is tagged, you would hop around on one leg until healed)

Blob Tag: After tagged, players join hands with the tagger and become part of the "blob" tagger.

Tail Tag: Each Player has a tail (bandanna, sock, etc.) that they tuck into their pocket. Every player is a tagger and a player. Try to grab each others tails. If their tail is nabbed, they do a quick fitness activity (jump in place, run, etc.) and then rejoin the game. The person with the most tails after a certain amount of time wins.

Dragon Tag: Line of people holding each others hands or shoulders with end person having a tail. The head of a dragon can grab another dragon's tail.
